The registration timelines differ slightly based on gender: Female Candidates: April 15, 2026 – May 15, 2026 (03:00 PM). Male Candidates: April 17, 2026 – May 18, 2026 (03:00 PM). Application Fee: ₹0 (Free for all categories).

A total of 20 vacancies have been announced (17 for Men and 3 for Women). Qualification: Must possess a BVSc / BVSc & AH degree from a recognized Indian or equivalent foreign university. You must have completed your compulsory rotatory internship by the time of application. Age Limit (as of the last date of application): Between 21 and 32 years. Registration: Mandatory registration with the Veterinary Council of India (VCI) or a State Veterinary Council.

Unlike many other entries, there is no written examination for this post.Selection: Candidates are shortlisted based on their BVSc marks and called directly for the SSB Interview (5-day process). Final selection depends on SSB marks, medical fitness, and the merit list.Rank & Pay: Selected candidates are commissioned directly as Captain in the Pay Level 10B (Basic Pay ₹61,300 + MSP ₹15,500 + 20% Non-Practicing Allowance + other allowances).
